History of Hadley & Co

Founded in 2003 HADLEY & CO have established themselves as one of the leading independent estate agents in the area.

Key Stages

2003 -

HADLEY & CO was founded in a bedroom, Crabbs Cross, Redditch, as a one person lettings and property management agency called ‘Hadley Property Management’. determined to make its mark on the local property scene by doing things differently…..professionally, refreshing, modern and looking how the more dynamic agents worked in the cities. Launch of the first website.

2004 –

Due to rapid growth and out growing the bedroom it was decided to rent a serviced office at Greenlands Business Centre on the outskirts of the town centre. Started using a sign erector contractor for the first time. Until them Richard Hadley was putting them up himself.

2005 –

Moved to our first ‘proper’ office in Redditch town centre on Church Green West. This coincided with employing the first full time member of staff.

2006 –

Further staff joined the company

Rebranded to incorporate our very successful TOO LATE concept.

Due to demand we started to offer commercial property services.

2007 –

We introduced our key ring campaign. This high quality steel key ring is still used by many of our long term clients and in and around the office.

2008 –

Moved to larger offices only a stone’s throw away on the main pedestrian Church Green East. This was the first big step into offering the entire range of services, therefore adding residential sales & mortgages. We were no longer a residential and commercial letting agent…we were ‘estate agents’.

2008 –

With a director of sales joining the company the named was changed to HADLEY & CO. New website and sign boards.

2009 –

Introduction of dedicated tailored estate agency software allowing rents and statements to take place daily and automatically and marketing to become e-friendly and introduce buyers and tenants to new properties. This software is constantly evolving to this date.

2010 –

Accepted for membership to the National Homes Network. Being members also enabled us to invest in a London based office. Having any presence in the capital provides credibility and with investing and second homes a very strong market the connection was an obvious one.

2011 –

The commercial arm of the business was growing and needed its own brand recognition – HCO was born.

2013 –

New refreshing board. We wanted to achieve a more mature contemporary design which was less imposing than previous boards.

2013 –

Introduction of our exclusive property & lifestyle magazine.

2013 –

In October 2013 HADLEY & CO acquired their first own building at 7 Church Green East, right opposite the pretty bandstand and church grounds. Securing a long term foot hold in the area and obvious investment the 3 storey building provides a new innovative office space for our sales and lettings teams with meeting rooms, administration and mortgages services above. It also gives us the opportunity to offer rear customer parking.

2014 –

Rebrand to match our contemporary offices – ‘Buy Sell Rent’

2014 –

New innovative property website with clever search criteria such as school catchment and transport links.

Our flexible and longer working hours are essential. Many of our viewings and market appraisals are carried out on evenings after work, Saturdays and Sundays. We endeavour to always have a representative available.

We have been letting and managing property throughout Redditch, Bromsgrove, South Birmingham and all surrounding areas for over 10 years. Our experienced Lettings department looks after around 1000 properties on behalf of our clients some living locally and other areas of the UK and some overseas.
